Dr Sura Corrigan, DC ~ Founder of Far Hills Family Chiropractic

My Journey to Chiropractic

Growing up in a medical family, I was familiar with traditional healthcare, but it wasn't until my 20s that I discovered the life-changing power of holistic chiropractic care. Chiropractic helped me heal from chronic symptoms like asthma, anxiety, hormone imbalance, and headaches. The care I received also led me to a greater awareness and trust in my body’s wisdom. I began to understand what healing from the inside out truly means as I started to experience more energy, happiness, and vitality as my body became more aligned, connected, and clear of nervous system interference.

MY APPROACH

Gentle. Attuned. Nervous-System Centered.

I specialize in an evidence-informed, neurologically based style of chiropractic care. This approach focuses on releasing tension patterns in the body and nervous system—especially those created by pregnancy, birth, stress, posture, and early developmental experiences.

My work is especially supportive for:

  • Prenatal & postpartum women

  • Babies experiencing tension, feeding challenges, torticollis, colic, or digestive stress

  • Children with sensory needs, emotional dysregulation, or postural strain

  • Families who value wellness and want a proactive, drug-free approach to health

Every adjustment is gentle and tailored. Precise, safe, and deeply calming care that helps the body unwind, reorganize, and adapt.

A Practice Built Around Families

When I envisioned Far Hills Family Chiropractic, I wanted to create something more than a clinic—I wanted to build a warm, beautiful, healing sanctuary where families could breathe, exhale, and feel truly cared for.

A place where:

  • Mothers feel seen, supported, and nourished

  • Babies are supported into greater calm

  • Children feel at home and empowered

  • Families build their wellness as a lifestyle, not a temporary fix

From the moment you walk in, this is a place designed to help you feel safe, seen, and supported. Each visit offers gentle support so you can return to your life feeling more grounded, regulated, and resourced.

A Heart for Supporting Families

As a wife and mother myself, I have a heart for supporting women and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years, when the nervous system is still developing. My own motherhood journey shapes my care with empathy, presence, and genuine understanding. It brings me great joy to help individuals and families naturally experience life with greater ease, wellbeing, and peace.

Far Hills Family Chiropractic — serving the greater Somerset County community — is a dream I’ve held for many years. It is an honor to offer care that supports families and the next generation from the very beginning.

Family-centered care, from the very beginning.

Core Values

  • Your family's well-being is our purpose. We serve with honesty, transparency, and dedication, ensuring every recommendation is grounded in what is truly best for you.

  • The most profound wisdom for your health lives within you. Our role is to help you access it. Through chiropractic care that clears the nervous system, we help you build deep body awareness, empowering you to become the ultimate authority on your own well-being.

  • You are more than your symptoms. We honor the body’s innate wisdom by approaching healing from a whole-body, whole-family, and whole-life perspective.

  • Healing begins with connection. We support your ability to feel, sense, and trust your body—so you can reconnect with your innate wisdom, clarity, and inner strength. When you are embodied, you become more attuned to what your body needs and more confident in the choices you make for yourself and your family.

  • Healing unfolds in its own time. We are committed to holding a patient and dedicated space for your body to gently shift, release, and transform.

  • We believe understanding matters. Through conversations, classes, and thoughtful education, we share holistic, evidence-informed information that helps you make sense of what you’re feeling in your body. When insight and experience work together, change becomes more sustainable and integrated.

  • Healing yourself helps heal the world. We believe a clear nervous system creates healthier individuals and, in turn, healthier families. Our practice is dedicated to fostering this ripple effect, contributing to a vibrant and connected community in Far Hills, Bernardsville, Bedminster, Basking Ridge, and beyond.

These values guide every interaction, every adjustment, and every space I create.

A Space to Heal & Thrive

I believe that when your nervous system is clear and connected, your body's powerful, life-changing wisdom is fully accessible. I will do my best to ensure you feel supported, at ease, and empowered in your care and provide a safe space where you and your family can truly thrive.

My hope is that you come to understand how powerful your body truly is—and how life-changing it can be when your nervous system is clear and connected.

Whether you are pregnant, postpartum, bringing in your baby, seeking help for your child, or wanting to create long-term wellness for yourself or your family, you are welcome here.

I look forward to caring for you.

Humanitarian work in crisis settings around the world has been one of Dr. Sura’s deepest passions. Her work has included serving Indigenous communities on reservations in the United States, supporting refugees from Syria and Iraq, and caring for communities in Jamaica.

Childbirth Educator

Dr. Sura is deeply passionate about supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Her connection to birth began during chiropractic school, where she trained as a doula. She is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and has completed additional prenatal training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Abdominal Therapy Collective.

Early Roots in Teaching

As a child in nursery school, Dr. Sura was once asked what she wanted to be when she grew up. She drew a picture of a teacher. It wasn’t until her twenties, after deciding to become a chiropractor, that she learned the word doctor comes from the Latin docere, meaning “to teach.” In many ways, the path she chose had been there all along.

City to Country

Dr. Sura opened her first practice, Illuminate Chiropractic, in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. Having grown up in the city, she was drawn to its energy, creativity, and constant movement. After becoming a mother, her priorities shifted. She felt called toward more nature and a slower pace of life, eventually settling in Tewksbury, New Jersey, where she now lives with her husband and son. This transition continues to shape how she practices today — valuing rhythm, nature, and a more intentional pace of care.

Holistic Women’s Work

Dr. Sura travels to Belize to study women’s holistic healing with her mentor, Rosita Arvigo. Her work in this lineage reflects a deep respect for the body, tradition, and the wisdom passed through generations of healers. She is certified in Abdominal Therapy and Spiritual Healing through the Abdominal Therapy Collective.
